Almost every client comes to me at some point, wanting to know about the the fastest and easiest way to get a lot of links. They see offers to buy thousands of links from outsourced suppliers for just a few dollars. In fact, it’s almost too good to be true.

When Google is crawling websites looking for backlinks to your site, they’re also looking for evidence that the links were created by hand. Google also looks for evidence of links generated by scripts, and most scripts submit information in a way that allows Google to distinguish between a handmade link and a script-generated link.
